Bev Hammett's K-3 Class
Welcome to Mrs. Bev's K-3 class!
Hello! To begin, I will tell you a little about myself. My name is Bev Hammett. I am married and have two children along with 4 grandchildren. This will be my third year at Lakeview, but I have taught PreK-3 for 25 years at a Christian School in Pembroke Pines. My goals are very simple...I want your child to have a warm, safe feeling about coming to school. I want them to feel good about themselves and they things they will do in our classroom. We will reinforce basic social skills such as sharing, taking turns, being kind to their friends and following directions. Play is very important for grown the development at this age. I try to make learning fun in our classroom. Basic skills of colors, numbers, classifying and matching letters are all taught through fun games and activities. We develop fine motor skills through using scissors, play dough and paint. Reading books, flannel board stories and finger plays are also a very important part of our day. They will also learn about God's love for them through Bible stories, singing songs, and in conversations during the day. Because He Lives, Ms. Bev |
